Welcome students and parents of Fifth Ward Elementary 2014-2015 school year.  This year your child will have the opportunity to make a difference in the school and community by being a part of FWES Art Class.  FWES Art mission is to stimulate the minds of students and promote community awareness of student achievements in the visual arts.  My job is to provide recognition for students, build self esteem and positively motivate and inspire students.

This is a beginning level art course designed to introduce students to the elements of art: line, shape, form, texture, space, value, color, and the principles of design: balance, rhythm, movement, variety, pattern, unity, and harmony. Students will be introduced to terminology associated with the elements of art and their applications in creating an artwork. Students will also be introduced to different art mediums such as pencil, charcoal, pencil color, pastel chalks, and scratchboard.
