On February 12th, SLA celebrated with Ms. Sharlene Edwards on her retirement from the school system after 33 years of service. Although everyone couldn't be in attendance, we made sure Ms. Sharlene felt the love virtually from everyone in the school.
Thanks Ms. Sharlene for everything you've done!

On October 21st, faculty and students wore orange for Unity Day! The color orange provides a powerful, visually compelling expression of solidarity for bullying prevention. By coming together and wearing orange, we hope to send a unified message to kids that they arent alone.

October 19th-October 30th, SLA held its annual Scholastic Book Fair. We would like to give thanks to all the staff, parents, and students for their support. Our book fair exceeded our expectations and was a huge success! We definitely want to send special thanks to Ms. Hill, Ms. Duronslet and Ms. Ferchaud, for making sure everything ran smoothly and for the awesome decorations throughout the school and library. The students also collected coins for the All for Books program, the number of coins collected was amazing, and with the coins we were able to add books to the classroom libraries.
